Fit for the Future
You may have yet to hear about Fit for the Future – the u3a’s proposals to change the way the national organisation is managed, all with the aim of giving individual u3as such as Salford the means of having a say on how things are done. As Salford u3a, we will have to vote on these proposals at the national u3a AGM in October. In the meantime, you can find out more from the video below.
Interest Groups

Tai Chi summer break
The Tai Chi class is taking a break during August, so the last class will be on 25 July and the group will start again on Thursday 5 September.
Ideas for a group that we have yet to launch? We are always keen to hear from members about any new u3a groups they would like to see on offer. Please share your ideas with us here.

A boost for your IT skills
Want some help in getting the most out of your laptop, notebook, PC or mobile phone? BT are supporting free digital skills training to help you get started with email, access public services, make a video call, stay safe online – and lots more. You can find out more on the website of their partners AbilityNet.

Or if you are new to technology and would like to build your confidence then try one of the Tech and Tea courses from Salford City Council – you can find more details on our IT Matters webpage.
FREE SUPPORT If you are simply looking for a bit of a refresher with using IT or a boost to your confidence, then why not try the drop-in sessions at Critchley Community Hub on Chorley Road, Swinton – Monday afternoons from 2-4 pm. See here for more details.
Salford City Council have launched a new Digital Help Finder Tool that you may also be interested in. It acts as a signpost to residents of Salford for digital support available in their area. There are lots of opportunities to boost your digital skills so do have a look.
