Patchwork and quilting are crafts that have so many different techniques that everyone can find a favourite. Only basic sewing skills and equipment are needed to begin with.
We are a small, friendly group very willing to help each other. Perhaps you have a project already started that you need help with. If so, then join us.
This stunning Autumn-themed quilt is the group’s latest collaborative project. The quilt will be offered as a raffle prize at the Salford u3a October social meeting and the money raised donated to The Smile Train – our chosen charity this year.
Quilting has proven so popular that we now offer two quilting groups:
- Quilting group 1: meet every Tuesday at 10 am-12 noon at a member’s home (mostly Irene’s)
- Quilting group 2: meet alternate Thursdays at 10 am – 12 noon at a member’s home (first meeting on January 4th 2024)
