Short Walks

Birkacre Weir, Yarrow Valley Country Park (April 2023)

Convenors: Brian Pearson and Marlene Walker
To contact Brian and Marlene, please email salfordu3a@gmail.com marking the subject line of your email ‘FAO: Brian Pearson/Marlene Walker’.

Normal venue and day/time: We meet on alternate Mondays at St Mark’s Church, Worsley, and leave promptly at 1pm (12:30pm during November, December and January).

Short Walks is a popular group that is sometimes at capacity for walking, so prospective members should contact Brian first. The walks are in interesting areas and typically cover 3-4 miles usually on good paths and with some short moderate uphill climbs, nothing that a reasonably fit person couldn’t manage.

We all take our time – no rush. Transport to the start of the walks relies on informal car sharing and expenses also being shared, a formula for which exists.
