Long Walks

Not much walking going on here!

Convenors: John and Chris Ashton

To contact John and Chris, please email salfordu3a@gmail.com marking the subject line of your email ‘FAO: John and Chris Ashton’.

Venue and day/time: We meet on alternate Mondays at St Mark’s Church Car Park, Worsley, for a 10am departure. These are full day walks led by volunteers.

Transport to the start of the walks relies on informal car sharing and expenses also being shared, a formula for which exists. The walks are full days and you are required to bring a packed lunch. Could new members please contact the convenor before joining so we have an idea on numbers.

These walks are generally about 5-7 miles (or a little shorter when daylight is limited) and are relatively gentle and predominantly on flat ground involving little ascent. We are generally back in Worsley by four o’clock.

We would wish to encourage as many people as possible to lead walks.

Please contact the Convenors in order to answer any query.
