We are a friendly group with a range of skills, all at Intermediate level or above. We use a mix of audio and written materials, with the aim of improving our listening and speaking skills and developing our vocabulary and grammar.
We are not a teaching group but we enjoy learning from and with each other. Several members take turns at leading our meetings. We give ourselves a bit of a challenge to keep up our interest in France and the French language and, if it’s a long time since you practised your French, you’ll be surprised how much you remember.
We meet at the Walkden Gateway community rooms on alternate Wednesdays at 2 – 4pm. The 20 and 37 bus routes run close by.
There is a small charge (£7 per person) for the Spring term to cover the cost of room hire; members joining during the term will be asked to pay pro rata. We also pay 50p per meeting for refreshments.
You would be very welcome to join a couple of sessions to see if it’s for you.
