It was an icy cold November morning when members of our Family History group found themselves in the cells of the police station in Newton Street, Manchester. This historic Victorian building is now the home of Greater Manchester Police Museum, and the group enjoyed a fascinating tour of the building and the exhibits outlining how the work of the police has evolved over the years.
