These include the monthly Social with Speaker, as well as the numerous groups to attend. Salford U3A arranges various events throughout the year which include day trips out, annual lunches, Christmas celebrations, as well as monthly social mornings which include speakers.

Spring Trip: A Cultural trip to Liverpool on Thursday 3rd May 2018. To visit the Walker Art Gallery for a guided tour followed by a visit to the Terracotta Warriors Exhibition at the World Museum. The price of £22 includes return coach travel, guided tour of the Art Gallery and timed tickets to the exhibition. Names and payment for this will be taken at the Friday social meeting on 16th February.
Summer Trip: Stately Home and Garden visit to Renishaw Hall in Derbyshire on Thursday 2nd August 2018. The price for this trip is £25 and includes return coach travel, entrance to the gardens and museum, a private guided tour of the ground floor of the hall and tea and biscuits on arrival. Names and payment for this trip will be taken at the Friday social meeting on 15th June. Coach will pick up at Roe Green at 9.0am and St Marks Church Worsley at 9.10am
Autumn Trip: “King Richard III Pork Pie and a Beer” – Leicester Weekend Away – Saturday 6/7th October 2018 Includes a visit and demonstration at Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe in Melton Mowbray, tour of Leicester Cathedral and King Richard III Visitor Centre. A Medieval Banquet and Sunday lunch and beer tasting at the Belvoir Brewery. Accommodation at the Holiday Inn Leicester on a Bed and breakfast basis and return coach travel. £175 per person (£200 for single occupancy). Winter Trip: A trip to the Birmingham International Military Tattoo on Sunday 25th November 2018 The price of the trip is £35 and includes tickets for the event and return coach journey. The coach pick up will be from Dukes Drive car park Monton at 10.30am with expected return at 7.30pm.
Walkers 2019 HF holiday – The holiday has been booked for Malhamdale on 24th June 2019 for four nights. Anyone interested please contact Ken McMahon email@example.com or Ken Ball for more details.

Trips and Social Events last year (2017)
Thursday 4th May – Port Sunlight and Ness Gardens – A successful event was held and some photos can be seen on the ‘Day Trip’ Gallery page. Wednesday 26th July – Lancaster Castle and Lancaster Canal Boat trip – Included a guided tour of the castle followed by a relaxing cruise along the Lancaster canal to the Lune Aqueduct whilst enjoying a delicious afternoon tea. Saturday 30th September/Sunday 1st October – Weekend away trip to Woburn Abbey and Bletchley Park – Another successful event, some photos have been added to the gallery page. Friday 1st December – Christmas visit by coach to Tatton Park, “12 days of Christmas followed by 3 course festive lunch with glass of wine”
Monthly Social Mornings with Guest Speakers 2018
Venue and Time: General social mornings are now held at Eccles Town Hall, 116 Church Street, Eccles, M30 0LH, 10am on the third Friday of each month.
The social morning is held in order to have a discussion together with a cup of tea or coffee and to listen to a variety of Guest Speakers, to air your views and to pass relevant information to members. Prospective members will be most welcome.
