Trips and social events

For more information about any of our trips that are open to all members of Salford u3a, please email marking the subject line ‘FAO: Janet Ball’. To see photos from some of our previous trips, please visit the Galleries page.

Several of our interest groups also organise outings, eg Art and Culture, Gardening and Local History, and places may be made available to members of other groups if there is spare capacity. For information on these, please see their individual group pages.

Monthly social mornings with guest speakers

Venue and Time:

Social mornings are typically held at 10:00 on the 3rd Friday of the month and take place at Elm Bank Banqueting Suite in Eccles (no booking required).

Our social mornings are extremely popular and allow members to have a discussion together with a cup of tea or coffee and to listen to a variety of guest speakers, to air your views and for the committee and convenors to pass relevant information to members. Prospective members are most welcome. For more information about any of the speakers below, please email
