Whilst restrictions nationally and locally are gradually being eased, it remains the case that infection rates are high. Consequently, any member who is feeling ill, displaying COVID-19 symptoms, has received a positive test result in the past 10 days or has been instructed to isolate must NOT participate in u3a meetings, trips and events. Any member who subsequently tests positive (within 7 days of attending) is asked to advise their group convenor(s) or meeting organisers so that all other attendees may be informed.

Monthly social mornings with guest speakers 2021
Venue and Time: Constrained by pandemic restrictions, we had been meeting earlier this year by zoom but from August 2021 reinstated in-person social mornings. Unfortunately our normal venue of choice, Eccles Town Hall, is unavailable due to refurbishments taking place through to 4th quarter this year and these events are therefore being held at either Buile Hill Park Hall or Elm Bank Banqueting Suite (no booking required).
Our social mornings are extremely popular and allow members to have a discussion together with a cup of tea or coffee and to listen to a variety of guest speakers, to air your views and for the committee and convenors to pass relevant information to members. Prospective members are most welcome. For more information about any of the speakers below, please email email@example.com marking the subject line ‘FAO: Carolyn Siddall’.
