Our winter trip this year took us eastwards first to Lincoln for the famous Christmas markets and then on to stay for two nights at the comfortable Knightshill hotel just outside King’s Lynn. Our second day began in the morning with a fascinating guided tour of the medieval town, and in the afternoon we enjoyed the stunning extravaganza of the Thursford Christmas show. We broke our journey home with a tour and lunch at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
